With a history of over 2,670 years, it is said that Amenotomi no Mikoto built it to enshrine his ancestor, Amenofutodama no Mikoto, when he came from Awa to develop the land. Amenofutodama no Mikoto was a close associate of Amaterasu Omikami and the ancestral god of all industries in Japan. ◇ Kambe Village: A village that once existed in Awa District, Chiba Prefecture. Located in the southern part of present-day Tateyama City. (Abolished due to merger in 1954) ◇ Yoriishi Iwai (Stone-Laying Celebration) - "For the village that will never change, for a thousand generations, this stone inscription is a testament."
