Beautiful Japanese washi paper celebratory chopsticks. Each one is handmade. We hope they will add color to the auspicious day of the New Year. The chopsticks are domestic Japanese cypress (hinoki) double-ended chopsticks. Length: 24cm Ryoguchibashi (double-ended chopsticks) are also called celebratory chopsticks. They are characterized by being tapered at both ends. One end is used by people, and the other end is for the gods, based on the concept of "Shin-jin-kyoshoku" (sharing food between humans and gods). At celebrations, they are meant to share offerings with the gods and to share blessings from the gods. They are used on special occasions such as New Year's and the first meal ceremony (okuizome).
