⚫︎ Purchased previously at the Hankyu Department Store in Osaka, along with a yukata. It looks like bamboo, but it's not; it's a bit softer. The soles are slightly worn, but they would be comfortable to wear indoors as room shoes! In that case, they should be fine as they are. If you want to wear them outside... The rubber soles are resilient and hard. Since I've worn them a few times, you can find transparent rubber heel repair patches with glue at Daiso or home improvement stores. Applying those for repair would be better. ※ The ones in the photo are black rubber, but I often use them on other shoes as well. There are transparent ones available. The layer between the rubber sole and the upper part is also made of a rubber-like, resilient material. Wearing them indoors like straw sandals would also be comfortable. Perfect for yukata, and of course, kimono as well. Perceptions of used items vary. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly critical.
