A Hungarian brand, This is a bonbonniere (small container) made by Zsolnay. It is a very beautiful item with a distinctive octagonal shape. Looking at the back stamp, a bonbonniere with the Zsolnay 9142/059 model number is sold for 12,000 to 13,000 yen in Japan. This item has some areas where the 22-karat gold gilding on the rim appears thin, only visible when examined closely with a magnifying glass, since I purchased it from an antique shop 10 years ago.
