It's a guess, but I estimate it to be from the 1950s to the early 1960s. 1. Tag design and texture The font (script) of the black tag that says "Large" at the collar and the texture of the material are typical styles often seen in 1950s vintage wear. Also, the very simple washing instructions on the back suggest an older era. 2. Embroidery technique (chain stitch) The "Schoen Iron Work's" on the back and the name "Hans" on the chest are embroidered using a technique called chain stitch. This was a common technique used in bowling shirts and work shirts of that era, and it has a unique three-dimensionality and "character" different from modern computer embroidery. 3. Details • Collar shape: Open collar-like shape. • Buttons: 4-hole plastic buttons, but they appear to have a slightly older texture. • Material feel: From the images, it appears to be rayon, or a blend of rayon and cotton.
