CERVANTES class 1000 1979 Hiromi Yamaguchi This model was made by MEIKO, the predecessor of Asturias Guitar. Mr. Masaru Matano of MEIKO at the time, referring to Jose Ramirez, experimented with model designs to create guitars with good sound. Also, because each guitar uses different wood, he believed it was important to check the vibration with a tapping stick and make final adjustments, and it seems he had already checked 20,000 to 30,000 guitars at the time. Mr. Matano was called a "magician of sound" because the sound would revive when he worked on the guitars. The guitar for sale is an all-solid wood model designed by Mr. Masaru Matano (the top is probably solid spruce, and the sides and back are solid rosewood) and made by Mr. Hiromi Yamaguchi, who had a strong trust from Mr. Matano. The condition, at first glance, shows some clouding of the paint in places, and the neck also shows signs of use, but there are no noticeable cracks in the wood, and it has a decent appearance for its age. However, looking closely at the top, there are traces of repairs to cracks made during the guitar's construction. (Of the three thick-grained pieces of wood in the last photo, the left one seems to have thin wood filled in. It's a level that you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely.) Currently, Asturias guitars are introduced as high-class standards in the classical guitar corner of musical instrument stores, but the MEIKO all-solid wood model, its predecessor, is likely to have a similar standing. This is a CERVANTES class 1000 from 1979, carefully crafted by Mr. Hiromi Yamaguchi, a standard all-solid wood model by Mr. Masaru Matano. Please consider it.
