These are pickups for a 5-string Jazz Bass. I installed them on my bass once, but the character didn't suit it, so I removed them. My impression of the sound is that the volume level is high, with a good "scooped" sound. The low-mids are thick, and I think they would blend well in a band ensemble. I have lost the sponge inside the box, so I will secure the item with cushioning material before shipping.
