RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR Merino Flannel Basic Cap I purchased the flannel basic cap in 2023, but it has only been tried on and kept at home without being used. What I wanted in a cap was "a sense of security that wraps around my head." This "Basic Cap" was born from that desire. With shallow caps, I always feel uneasy, and especially when walking on windy mountain peaks or by the sea, I notice myself being tense, trying not to let the hat blow away. Instead of enjoying nature, I'm bothered by small stresses... After repeating such experiences many times, I made a deep fit that covers up to my ears and a form that gently holds the entire head the core of the design. The brim is designed to be the optimal length to block sunlight firmly while being less affected by wind. It has a delicate balance that makes it difficult to flap in strong winds, yet does not obstruct vision. Lightweight and durable high-density nylon is used for the fabric. It is tough enough to withstand some rain and abrasion. The sweatband is made of moisture-wicking and quick-drying polyester mesh, preventing stuffiness and stickiness even during long periods of use.
