This item is similar to one featured in Ms. Kumi Morita's book, "Introduction to Intellectual Kimono" (see image 1). This is a special dyed Nagoya obi featuring the classic Futaba Aoi (double hollyhock) pattern in modern colors. Made with the highest quality silk thread and using oni-shibo crepe fabric. The base color is pink beige. The color closest to the actual item is likely image 6. I removed the washi obi for the first time to photograph the obi's body pattern. Please check the body pattern in image 7, and images 8 and 9, which show it paired with a Do-myo obi締め (cord) for clarity. The colors appear darker overall, and the hollyhocks especially look black, but they are actually a deep purple as shown in image 3. (The Do-myo obi締め is not included.) This item has never been used after being tailored and has been stored at home. It is a new, unused item. I would like to sell it as I have no opportunity to wear it. It is a home-stored item, and while I believe it is clean with no scratches or stains, there may be individual differences in how it is perceived, and there may be oversights, so please check the images.
