I originally purchased this as a used US military surplus item, but it shows almost no signs of wear, and the fleece is soft with no matting. However, there was a hole in the upper part of the inner pocket. It didn't go all the way through to the outside, so there's no problem putting a wallet, cell phone, or gloves in it, so I've left the hole as is. Please repair it if you are concerned. Worn about 10 times. There is some pilling on the inside.
