This is a haori (Japanese jacket) handmade by my great-grandmother. It was made using a pattern for 100cm clothing. She wasn't a professional, and it wasn't made for sale, so it has a very handmade feel with visible hand-stitching. The fabric is a deep green color and sewn with black thread, so the stitching isn't very noticeable. The ties in the front are quite short, so a ribbon knot will likely come undone quickly. It has been worn a few times and has no stains or damage. She made it so skillfully, I can't bear to throw it away. I hope to pass it on to someone who will wear it.
