It can be used as interior decoration or as a Hina doll (for the Doll Festival). The long ears have wire inside, allowing you to change their shape. The head ornaments are also handmade. The cute swans are also handmade. The bell held in its hand was purchased during a visit to Usa Jingu Shrine! Rabbits have been said to be animals that bring happiness since ancient times. Long ears are said to gather good fortune, their hopping symbolizes things progressing smoothly, and they are also associated with the prosperity of descendants. The sound of the bell is said to call upon the gods and have a purifying effect. This is a handmade item that my 80-year-old mother has been making as a hobby for about 10 years. When my mother was young, she collected antique kimonos in Kyoto. She made this from scratch by hand-sewing, using those kimonos. Because old cloth is used, there may be unique stains or damage.
