For securing the power transformer, a transformer base that floats with resin in a cast trunk case, common with the higher-end model DCD-S10IIIL, is used to cut low-frequency noise (Image 13). Equipped with AL24 Processing technology and using a Burr-Brown 24-bit DAC (PCM1704), this is a popular model with a focus on sound quality. As this is a mid-production type of the DCD-1650SR, there are no noticeable scratches and the condition is good. For the listing, the pickup lens has been replaced and silicone grease has been applied to the sliding parts. The tray opening/closing rubber belt has also been replaced. The overcurrent protection element has also been replaced. As there are cases where the L-channel DAC often fails due to its own heat generation in the DCD-1650SR, heat sinks have been attached to both channel DACs (Images 14 ⇒ 15). Low-viscosity high-grade oil has been applied to the oil-impregnated bearings.
