Until last year, I was a nursing student. I believe everyone engages in process recording during their clinical nursing practicum. However, textbooks have very little information about process recording. Also, because my nursing practicum site used Peplau's theory, I purchased these five books. There are two reasons why I'm glad I bought them. First, they are useful and reliable as manual-like materials for students practicing process recording during their practicum. In my case, during a practicum with the elderly, I was assigned a patient with whom it was difficult to interact. Even then, process recording became a good material for reflecting on my approach. Second, they help in understanding the perspective of the clinical instructor (especially book ②). I don't think many nursing students other than myself thought about process recording from a third-person perspective, such as what the instructor was trying to convey to the student and how. Even when working in the clinic as a nurse, how you interact with patients greatly influences the effectiveness of nursing care. This is also recorded in daily nursing records. Furthermore, Peplau's works are highly recommended reading, especially for those interested in psychiatric nursing.
