The large diameter and softness provide a smooth ride even on somewhat rough surfaces. They're suitable for cruising, freestyle/dancing on longboards, downhill, freeride, and even surfskating. Since they are new, the grip is strong, but once the surface is worn in, you can enjoy powerful slides.
