This is a collection from my family. They're selling it because they want something else. These are five soba choko (small bowls for soba noodles) from the Meiji era, made using copperplate transfer printing. The design features a sea of clouds and trees, perhaps? It's a modern, geometric design. Although somewhat small, they are sturdily built with a good thickness. Inside, there's a chrysanthemum and leaf pattern. One of the five has a flower and a pinwheel-like design. There is a tiny glaze chip on the rim in one place, and a raised area on the inner surface in one place (see photos), but otherwise, there are no cracks or chips, and the condition is good! The owner collected these for everyday use as soba choko, but they were never used, so please, if you like them, take them! Size: Approximately 6 cm in height, 6.7 cm in diameter. Please check the photos for the condition. Feel free to comment if you'd like to negotiate the price or purchase them all together.
