A classic and seasonal Balmacaan coat. HERNO is known for down jackets, but they are originally a coat maker, and the quality of the tailoring is, as expected from Italy, excellent. Vintage items of this type tend to increase in price. The color is difficult to discern in the image, but it's a blue that's not navy, typical of Italian items; it's a bright blue, or rather, a slightly smoky eggplant color. Please check the condition in the images. I was concerned about the sheen, so I had stain removal and a luxurious finish for the collar and cuffs. I was told that doing more would damage the fabric, but it's now within an acceptable range, although I haven't had a chance to wear it, and it's been stored at home. The simple Balmacaan coat has raglan sleeves, which are a distinctive feature, and it goes with any inner layer. It's an oversized, long coat with a very beautiful silhouette. The material is 67% polyester and 33% cotton, which gives it a smooth feel, but it doesn't feel flimsy because of the checked lining. You'll need a jacket or a thick sweater in mid-winter, but it's perfectly fine for early spring or early autumn when it starts to get cold. It's recommended to wear it in a clean style, such as with a denim jacket as an inner layer and flannel pants. There is no size indication, but it's about XL even in today's oversized fashion.
