I believe it's made of nylon, so it should be water-repellent. I think it's the perfect size for a lunch box. Since it's a drawstring bag, you can carry things without the contents being visible. Mitsukoshi's novelty items are high-quality, so I think you can use it for a long time. I used it briefly at home to store bags. I washed it once.
