I considered whether I could call it "cinnabar," but instead, I went with "red teacups." One is Kutani ware, with the characters "Fukuju" (happiness and longevity) written on the outside, and underglaze painting on the inside. The characters "Kutani Naosaku" (made directly by Kutani) can be read on the foot. The red on the outside has a slightly vermilion hue. The other one is a deep red on the outside, and the foot has the shape often seen in soba noodle cups and mukozuke dishes. I haven't confirmed any particularly noticeable flaws, but as they are not new items, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
