During the fall and winter, I would use this when it wasn't cold enough for a down jacket, or as a layer under an outer coat when it was very cold. The beige color makes it suitable for both boys and girls. I used it about 10 times, and there were no noticeable stains or pilling. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
