Thank you for viewing. This is a tote bag made from a pre-made bag dyed with persimmon tannin. Cotton and linen fabrics dyed with natural dyes such as indigo, cherry blossoms, and Japanese pampas grass are arranged on the surface in a patchwork style. The dyeing periods vary, with some materials being older. The embroidered threads are also dyed with natural dyes. This item was recently created and is a one-of-a-kind, unused piece. Even when items are placed inside, the fabric is firm, making it easy to use with minimal shape distortion. Although unused, there may be some scratches or fraying from the dyeing and production processes (there is fraying of the sewing thread on the handles, as shown in photo 6). Also, there are unique dye irregularities characteristic of hand-dyeing. The bag is intentionally made with a rough feel, so I would be happy if someone who appreciates that aspect would purchase it.
