Please read the profile before considering a purchase. This item is from a family member in another house and is in my possession. The fabric has a feel and texture similar to velvet, and is a slightly thick, sturdy material. It seems to be a single-layer construction without lining. I have worn it several times. There don't seem to be any stains, but there are a few small scratches or scuff marks.
