This is a Kawai alto horn. The condition isn't very good. There's quite a bit of plating wear and dents in the tubing. The rim of the bell is also distorted. I got this as a stopgap before acquiring the instrument I currently use as my main horn, and I played it for about a year. It's a beat-up looking instrument, but it has a good sound. Personally, I liked that contrast. The bore is probably on the smaller side. The bell is 200mm, the same size as my current instrument. Even if I overblow a bit with the narrow tubing, the bell handles it well. That's the kind of instrument it is. The pistons and tuning slides function well. There's no seizing of screws. Although it's a Kawai brand, it was manufactured by the renowned German company B&S.
