This is a 100th Anniversary model, a re-release of the New York Meyer. I tried out several at Kurosawa Music and chose this one (there was quite a bit of variation between them), and it's very easy to play. It was on display as an outlet item, but it was much better than the regular ones, so I bought it for 20,300 yen. Currently, new ones are sold online for around 25,000 to 35,000 yen, but since this is a carefully selected, high-quality mouthpiece, and it's a piece that may increase in value, I'm listing it for 25,000 yen, which is higher than the purchase price. (As an aside, the 80th-anniversary model was also released over 20 years ago. That was a must-buy... Back then, there were still some very good ones to be found if you chose from the current models. I don't know how many good new ones will come out in the future.) It's much easier to play and control than current Meyer models. Some current models from around 2020 onwards have extremely warped rails. This piece has a very clean construction, as you can see in the photos. Personally, I prefer it to the limited edition "MEYER BROS. CONNOISSEUR NEW YORK" because it's brighter. If you like the classic bebop to hard bop sound of Charlie Parker, Jackie McLean, and Phil Woods, this is a recommended piece. There's a slight scratch where the ligature tightens, but it doesn't significantly affect the sound. Thank you for your consideration.
