This is the CG. CONN 38B Connstellation, arguably the quintessential jazz horn. This trumpet is one of the last units manufactured in 1970 at the CG.CONN Elkhart factory (s/n N46xxx). After that, the ownership changed and the factory moved to Abilene, Texas. The materials and manufacturing process changed significantly, so you can consider the trumpet being offered for sale as the last 38B Connstellation. It was overhauled at a musical instrument store about 3 months ago. All valves operate smoothly. All slides can be detached without sticking. The airtightness of the valves and slides is good, with no issues. There are no bends or deformations. Considering its age, I believe it is in very good condition. Please judge from the photos. There are polishing scratches, but no deep scratches or dents. Please forgive any oversights. As it is over 50 years old, there is some lacquer peeling on the tuning slide and the 1st trigger lever, which are frequently touched. There is plating corrosion at the joint between the mouthpiece receiver and the lead pipe. There is other age-related deterioration, but nothing that would affect its playability.
