The Japanese traditional culture of the tea ceremony has a profound depth, encompassing the spirit of hospitality, wabi-sabi, and more. I have always been fascinated by the beauty of the movements involved and have long dreamed of studying it when I have the time. When designing the lace, I researched the tools used in the tea ceremony. There are approximately 17 basic tools. From among the various items, I chose "tea bowl," "tea scoop (chashaku)," "tea caddy (natsume)," and "tea whisk (chasen)." I also included the characters for "tea ceremony" and leaves as accents. In designing, it was difficult to express the "shaka-shaka" (swishing) feeling of the "chasen," and I focused on creating a delicious-looking matcha color.
