One day, reluctantly accepting an urgent job to transport meat, he stops his truck at a motel for a break. There, he witnesses a man in a green van taking a hitchhiking woman into a room. Early the next morning, Quid, feeling uneasy, sees the man standing by the window as if checking for garbage, and sets off to load the meat. Soon, he hears on the radio that a woman's dismembered body has been found, and as he is overcome with a bad feeling, the green van reappears before him...
