Showa 61 (1986) Philippine-made Mabuni-type sanshin with markings. The name tag on the hard case indicates it was brought to Osaka. It is likely that it was purchased from the Tsunami Shamisen store in the former Gushikawa City. No twisting, normal condition. The core is made in the old style, with file marks remaining. The black lacquer has a lot of wear, and there are two small dents on the back of the ten (top). The genuine skin is seven-tenths stretched and has no tears. It has a soft tone, and the karakui (tuning pegs) turn smoothly. The three karakui are mismatched, but the fact that they are from different eras gives a sense of the passage of time.
