Purchased 2-3 years ago. Worn 5 times, I think it's in good condition. The hood is not removable. The cuffs don't seem dirty when the elastic is stretched... but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. I think elementary school students, even older ones, can wear it. It's a very cute color.
