A compact and lightweight Kydex sluice box used for gold panning. It uses water flow to guide the material to the lower bed for separation, rather than riffles. Impressions after use: - Cleaning is incredibly easy (just open it up, flip it over into a pan or bucket, and swish it around). - It takes some getting used to finding the right location to set it up to get the water flow just right. - Small stones can sometimes get firmly lodged in the holes of the metal plate, so it's helpful to have pliers, etc. (It doesn't block all the holes, so it's not essential, but it's helpful). - The corners of the aluminum plate on the latch are sharp, so it's better to round them off with a file. It was ideal as a lightweight and compact type that can be used in the mountains, and I was very impressed with it, but due to various circumstances, I can no longer go to dangerous places or travel far, so I am putting it up for sale. It's a niche product within a niche market, so I'm not sure how much demand there will be, but I paid $280 or $270 for the main unit and shipping, and about 8,000 yen for customs duties, so maybe 20,000 to 30,000 yen would be a good deal.
