This is a used, fully-serviced and operational TOSHIBA size 5 (approx. 12cm diameter) monaural open reel tape recorder. It features a vacuum tube amplifier, using the following tubes: 12AX7, 6B8M, and 6ME10 (magic eye for VU meter). Rectification is done with diodes. You can enjoy its characteristic smooth playback sound. Model: GT-610. It supports both 50Hz and 60Hz power frequencies. The internal motor pulley will be replaced, so please specify your preference. Photo 6 Power consumption: AC100V 45W 1) Recording, playback, fast forward, rewind, magic eye (during recording only), and left/right brakes all function without problems. It does not have a tape counter. 2) Tape speeds are: 9.5 and 4.75 cm/s, two-stage. This is done by replacing the capstan roller. Please refrain from bidding if you require precise adjustments. 3) The MIC input is 6.3mm. A 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter is included. Photo 8 AUX IN (RADIO), external speaker, and monitor inputs are all 3.5mm. Input and output are possible with other audio devices such as CDs and IC recorders. You can listen to the source during recording with headphones. 4) Approximate dimensions of the main unit are: width 285 x depth 245 x height 160mm, weight approx. 5.6Kg 5) Servicing includes internal and external cleaning, lubrication, improved conductivity of electrical contacts, and rubber belt replacement. Vibration from the motor is absorbed with rubber packing, but there is some vibration and resonance. It may be slightly difficult for playing quiet music such as classical. 6) The operating handle is missing, and a similar replacement is installed. Operation is completely unaffected. 7) A power cord is included and can be stored on the back.
