This is a calligraphy work written on a hanging scroll. "Amaterasu Ōmikami no Miya" This refers to the Inner Shrine (Kōtaijingu) of Ise Grand Shrine, where Amaterasu-Ōmikami is enshrined. On the right side, there are characters that appear to read "Meiji Jingu," suggesting a connection to Meiji Jingu Shrine. On the left side, there are characters that begin with "Kore yori wa kami no mikokoro" (From this point on, the heart of the gods).
