Price further reduced. This is a red tea bowl made by the third generation of Shoraku Sasaki. It comes with a matching box. The Shoraku stamp is clearly visible. (See image 6) It has a very tasteful color and is a wonderful red tea bowl that fits comfortably in the hand. Raku ware was born in the Azuchi-Momoyama period through the encounter between Sen no Rikyu and the first generation of the Raku family, Chojiro. Raku ware is attractive for its handmade warmth and the depth that conveys the spirit of wabi-cha (rustic tea). It is said that the flavor increases the more you use it. Shoraku's matcha bowls are popular and rare. I hope to sell it to someone who likes it. As it is an item that has passed through time, there are signs of insect damage on the wooden box. It was present from the time of purchase at an antique shop specializing in tea utensils. Also, there are cracks due to aging. Please see the images.
