While organizing my grandfather's house, I found self-made suzuri stones and suzuri plates. He used to make suzuri as one of his hobbies in his later years with the Soryu Stone (★) he had stored. These were made by my grandfather, who was a master of stone stacking, while enjoying himself. I think he had a good eye for stones. In the 1970s, the first Issui Nakamura of Nakamura Suzuri requested my grandfather and father to quarry with heavy machinery, and they accompanied him. Issui-san and we are relatives. As it is a natural stone, there are also chips and scratches. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.
