The 13th generation head, Hachizan, learned his pottery techniques from his grandmother, the 11th generation Seizan, and his father, the 12th generation Hachizan, and creates works with elegant wheel-throwing and a beautiful, serene glaze. The appeal lies in the so-called "kirei-sabi" (beautiful and simple) style, with sharp, thin shaping and a variety of beautiful glazes that display seven colors.
