French Bordeaux kiln (BORDEAUX / Jules Vieillard et Cie), Henri II series. Manufactured between 1845 and 1895, this is a ceramic grooming set. #Antique_Brocanth ♧ #FrenchAntique ♧ The backstamp is a triple moon, inspired by Bordeaux, known as the Port of the Moon. The same design is used on the washbasin, and it may have been inspired by the emblem of Diane de Poitiers, the mistress of Henri II. Pitcher: Width 20cm Height 23cm (Width including handle 23cm) Bowl: Width 35.5cm Height 12.5cm There is a hairline crack on the rim of the pitcher (images 3-4), and a kiln scar at the base of the handle (image 6). Other signs of wear include crazing, surface scratches, minor scratches, and dirt on the bottom. It is beautiful and in good enough condition for practical use, but it is an old item made over a hundred years ago. Please check the images carefully before considering a purchase.
