This is a Shisa by Toshiaki Kinjo, son of Living National Treasure Jiro Kinjo. It is in a lying-down pose and has a very solid feel. There is something that looks like a crack on the back of the female Shisa, but it is believed to be from the time of production. Male: Approximately 27cm long, 16cm high Female: Approximately 25cm long, 12cm high The two together weigh approximately 4kg. It was purchased at a Tsuboya-yaki pottery specialty store in Tokyo and has been displayed in my home.
