This is a piece made as a hobby by a furniture craftsman relative. It has a mechanism where turning the water wheel on the other side makes a "thump, thump" sound, like a mortar and pestle inside. The photos appear dark, but the color is closer to that of photo 7. There is a crack in the roof. See photo 7. You may also want to repaint it with stain or other paints to your liking.
