We have continued to make Riesling, but the characteristic aromas and flavors of Riesling did not come out as much as we hoped, and we were unable to release it as a single-varietal wine for a while. However, we are now releasing it for the second time in nine years. The Riesling we are releasing this time does not have the typical petrol aroma (the so-called petroleum aroma) of German Riesling, but it has a gorgeous aroma of white flowers, honey, and citrus fruits, and a rich acidity that feels like the minerality of Riesling in its flavor. And above all, it has a very high concentration and a long finish, resulting in a high-quality wine. Private Reserve Pinot Gris 2023 (Dry White) We thought that Pinot Gris might be able to take advantage of the climate and soil of Shiojiri and Kikyogahara, so we planted it 19 years ago and repeated trial and error. Currently, Pinot Gris is one of the varieties that we feel has the most potential in this land. This wine has aromas of quince, osmanthus, and apricot, and an aromatic fruitiness that spreads throughout the mouth. You can enjoy a well-balanced acidity and umami that feels the minerality of the earth, and a rich fruitiness that makes you feel sweetness. Private Reserve Masumi Blanc 2023 (Dry White) "Masumi Blanc" is a wine that is an assemblage of aromatic white varieties. This "Masumi Blanc 2023" uses 56% Gewürztraminer, 22% Riesling, 14% Pinot Gris, and 8% Kerner. It has a gorgeous aroma of white roses, lychee, passion fruit, and ginger. The sweetness and acidity are well-balanced and harmonious, and the aromatic fruitiness lingers as a refined aftertaste.
