Relisted. This is an Aria logo guitar, but there's no label, so its origins are completely unknown. However, a model with almost the same shape, but with a different logo, was found on a foreign website. It appears to be a model similar to the Penco E-22, a brand used by Hoshino Gakki, which currently distributes Ibanez, for selling guitars overseas in the 70s. It also closely resembles the Epiphone Emperor Thinline, made during the "blue label" to "beige label" era of domestic sales. Although the headstock shape is different, the body thickness and parts configuration suggest it's likely of similar quality. At the time, Ibanez and Aria were OEMed by Matsumoku. This guitar was likely made through a similar process. It has quite luxurious specifications, including USA Grover tuners and fret edge binding. Condition: Neck: Generally straight. *There may be slight twisting, but it's expected for its age.* Even with the bridge lowered to its limit, the final fret produced sound without choking. Currently adjusted to about 1.5mm/1.3mm action. When playing acoustically, there's slight buzzing when chording in high positions. It's within acceptable range when amplified (in my opinion). The truss rod was tightened to a certain extent, so I've loosened it slightly after changing the strings to a thinner gauge (09-42) since I acquired it. Electronics: The pickups have no markings, so the brand is unknown. However, judging from the rust on the pickup covers, they are likely the original ones. There seems to be a wiring issue, as both pickups' volume and tone controls don't work (always at maximum). There's no unusual crackling, so it should be fixable with a simple repair. Body: There are some areas where the binding and body joints feel uneven, possibly due to the wood shrinking, and there are also slight cracks in the finish, but it's in good condition for its age. The pickguard is warped due to aging. The weight is approximately 4.3kg (using a home scale). Important Considerations: Neck: It appears to have been broken and repaired once. However, the repair seems to be professionally done, and there's no discomfort when playing. It seems to be traded for around 200,000 to 300,000 yen overseas, but the price has been reduced due to the above issues. Sold as is.
