This is a confectionary bowl by Kato Sakusuke, the greatest master of Seto-yaki ware. It is in the Oribe style, which Sakusuke was known for, with a duck depicted in the center and Chinese characters around the body. Being a work of Sakusuke, the quality is impeccable, and it can be considered one of the finest Oribe confectionary bowls available. The high foot and the depiction of a duck are rare features, making it an exceptional piece. There are no noticeable cracks or chips. Comes with a wooden box.
