This book was being read by a child who had learned to read, thanks to the furigana (ruby characters) next to the kanji. The illustrations are by Yoho Imoto and include many very cute pictures. I bought this book so the child could read a whole story by themselves, as the stories are short, perfect for reading aloud. The illustrations are very cute, and the child enjoyed reading the stories. The cover shows some wear and tear, and there is some aging as it has been stored on a bookshelf for a long time and was personally managed. Please consider this a used item.
