Daikaku-ji Temple is the head temple of the Daikaku-ji branch of the Shingon sect, which reveres Kobo Daishi Kukai as its founder. Officially, it is called the Former Saga Imperial Palace, Head Temple Daikaku-ji. This calligraphy is by Zensho Kurosawa, the 63rd Monzeki (chief priest) of Daikaku-ji Temple.
