I used this only once, attached to a Daiwa Emeraldas reel. It seems you can also attach it to a Shimano reel using the included parts. Basically, you just screw it on, so I think you'll understand how to use it. However, if you don't, please research it yourself. I will sell it to someone who understands how to use it. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about details.
