This is a cotton yoga mat. I bought it online for personal use while staying in India to put under my main mat because the floor was concrete. I've only used it a few times, for about 1-2 weeks. When I actually used it, it moved around more than I expected, and the edges tended to curl up. Although it was advertised as 100% cotton, I think it actually contains some synthetic fibers. Also, I'm personally concerned about the shedding and fraying of the fibers with use, so I'm going to let it go. If used as a mat for the kitchen, etc., it might not be so noticeable. For meditation or stretching while sitting, the movement of the mat might not be a concern. The material is cotton, but there's a slight fuzziness on the surface, so I think it also contains synthetic fibers.
