This is a black Satsuma ware piece from the 1970s. It has the "Satsuma" stamp. The black glaze has patches of a whitish glaze, creating a cafe au lait color that varies from piece to piece. The inside also has scattered whitish glaze, giving it character. Of the five pieces, one has been used, and there is age-related change on the unglazed portion (see the bottom left in the fourth photo). It's unclear whether the white discoloration on that piece is original. Diameter and height are both 6.5cm. It has a rounded shape and fits comfortably in the hand, making it suitable for not only tea but also shochu. It does not come with a dedicated box, so it will be wrapped in cushioning material for shipping. This is a used item and has been stored at home for a long time.
