I made a plate using Tochigi wood with beautiful burl and spalting. In addition to the shimmering burl that sparkles depending on the viewing angle, the spalting pattern, which resembles a sumi-e painting, is truly the beauty of nature. Ebony butterfly joints have been added to prevent cracking. It has been finished in a plump, oval shape.
