I received this as a gift three years ago. I wore it for two years, the year before last and last year, and it's in good condition with no stains or fraying. I've washed it in my home washing machine, and haven't ironed it, so there are some fold wrinkles. There's a button on the back. I don't think a child would be able to put it on by themselves.
