I made a pouch using the leftover fabric from the same pattern as the goshuin-cho (temple stamp book) tote bag. The lining is made of purple crepe fabric, and I intentionally made it so that the crepe slightly peeks out from the Japanese pattern fabric. It has an interlining, so it's sturdy. I found some cute buttons and attached them in two places. I made tassels with colored string and passed matching colored elastic through them, which is hooked onto the top button. It's convenient because you can easily close it without damaging the items inside. See image 4. It's small, so I don't think a goshuin-cho will fit. Please use it for things like amulets.
