This is a work by Mitsumasa Wada, a traditional craftsman known as the leading figure in Kinsa Yuzen (gold-decorated Yuzen dyeing). At the bottom of the image, along with titles that attest to his exceptional skills, such as "Japan's Master Craftsman," "Kyoto's Master Craftsman," "Excellent Technician," and "Traditional Craftsman," are his signature and seal (rakkan) "Mitsumasa Wada." Against a jet-black background, it depicts a graceful scene of cranes flying amidst a fantasy of blues and purples, with delicate branches overlapping.
